Penn State Abington has been part of the Penn State system since 1950. The campus is located in a suburb of Philadelphia in Abington, PA. Set on 45 wooded acres, the campus features a traditional college atmosphere along with the benefits and prestige of a large university.

Location: 15 miles north of Center City, Philadelphia in Montgomery County.

Students: 3450 full and part-time students; 51% are men and 49% are women; 29% are ethnic minorities; 20% are over the age of 23.

Faculty: 107 Full-time faculty with the student to teacher ratio at 17:1. All classes are taught by faculty, not teachers assistants.

Academics: First 2 years of more than 160 Penn State majors; 15 baccalaureate degree programs can be completed at Abington; 2 associate degree programs, and graduate partnerships with Thomas Jefferson University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

International Opportunities: Semester long study abroad programs for over 30 countries, credit courses with a one week study abroad component offered. more info

Tuition: 2009/2010 Full-time tuition (12 or more credits) is $5721/semester for PA residents and $8730/semester for Non-PA residents.

Financial Aid: 75% of our students receive some form of financial aid. Three levels of merit scholarships are available for eligible students.
